This morning I woke up early to set up the time lapse videos of the sail in to Ha Long Bay. I set up the new GoPro on the starboard side and the old one on the port side.
The scenery was quite amazing. The visibility isn’t wonderful, but I guess that adds character to the scenery.
Since my tour doesn’t start until the afternoon (meeting time 1:15 PM) I started processing the time lapse video from the old GoPro (still manual video creation).
I had a quick lunch in the buffet… Obviously with a cocktail.
The excursion meeting time was delayed until 2:00PM. By the time the boat left it was past 2:30 PM. There was a bit of walking to get to the boat, but didn’t need to take a bus to the pier.
The boat trip in Ha Long Bay took us to a large cave on one of the islands.
After walking through the cave the boat took us on a scenic tour through the islands before returning us to the ship.

I had dinner in the main dining room with a few of the other solo travelers.
