Good morning to the first day at sea…. well not sure how much morning is left, I decided to leave my alarm off this morning since yesterday was a long day with the early flight (and arriving extra early due to possible delays at TSA due to the shutdown) and the fact that we all lost an hour last night.

So I tried to save some money by waiting to purchase the Wi-Fi until today, but that wasn’t an option. You have to buy the full cruise Wi-Fi or pay $35/day for 24 hours…

The one advantage of the 24-hour pass is that you might be able to skip a day, but we only had 1 port day on the cruise to take advantage of the cellular service. Don’t even ask how much cellular data onboard costs…. it’s insane.
I spent some time outside taking photos and videos of the ocean, while working unfortunately.

I could see a MSC cruise ship in the distance.

I got some lunch up in the buffet… Pizza, Pappadam, and a piece of pork loin.

Another ship passing by in the opposite direction.

I did check out a few of the concerts going on, but wasn’t my cup of tea.
I went back to the Main Dining Room again tonight despite how slow it was the first night…. I wonder if they actually made it painful to discourage people to actually go back.

The service was much quicker today. More French Onion soup to start. Yes I am predictable, French Onion Soup on NCL and Escargot on Royal Caribbean / Celebrity.

I decided to try the Parmesan-crusted pork chop. I’m not sure who came up with this idea, especially soaking it in marinara sauce. The pork was okay, but I did not like the combination with the marinara sauce.
For dessert, I had the warm apple strudel.

This was actually quite good. I recommend trying it.
After dinner I checked out another show in the theater.

Niko Moon was playing in the main theater. He was pretty good, but a bit weird that he didn’t wear any shoes.
In the evening I checked out the silent disco. They had 3 DJ’s running and one of them was doing an outstanding job. It’s always more fun when you can change the music to something you like.
