After a very much needed sleep I woke up and got breakfast at Starbucks in the hotel lobby. I wanted to make sure I actually had food before getting on the plane today.
Luckily I called last night to request my systemwide upgrade and it actually cleared this morning. I got a shuttle to the airport and checked in without any problems

The poor folks in economy got only the biscuit I got yesterday. Meanwhile in first class we got the choice between a Zoe’s chicken sandwich or a cheese plate.

I had also brought on other snacks to reduce the mask wearing requirement (and I didn’t trust that the food would be sufficient).
As the plane got closer it was possible to see a couple of the islands.

After landing we were greeted by the National Guard (no kidding). They had quite a few volunteers scanning our Safe Travels Hawaii QR code. It was a quick and simple process.

I took the shuttle to Alamo rental car near the airport and they let me pick any SUV. I snagged a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a huge sunroof. They also verified Safe Travels Hawaii app showed that I wasn’t required to quarantine.

I drove to the resort (Kaua`i Beach Villas) and checked in. They also checked the Safe Travels Hawaii app to confirm that I was not required to quarantine. The room was on the 3rd floor with a bit of an ocean view from the balcony.

The room is a bit dated, but if acceptable. It also has a full kitchen and washing machine.

After relaxing a bit by the beach I had dinner at Coconuts Fish Cafe. The fish taco was ono (awesome).

After dinner I went to Walmart to stock up on supplies (water, Gatorade etc.)
