This morning I attempted to wake up early. I went to breakfast and took a few pictures of the Victoria harbor before attending the lion dance at the hotel at 10:00 AM.

The show was quite good, but was more a party for the hotel managers and workers. I was still glad to see the show since the parade had been cancelled.

I let my phone charge for a few minutes and then went back to the harbor to take some more photos while visibility was good.

I took the metro to the Ngong Ping 360 cable cars.

I spent the extra money for the crystal (glass) floor version. It was surreal seeing the ground move below through the glass. The visibility was very good for the entire trip.

I forgot my headphones, so I didn’t listen to the audio guide while riding, however I listened to it while I was waiting in line.

I got to see the Temple and big Buddha from the gondola.
After walking through the tourist trap I took some pictures of the Big Buddha.

Unfortunately as I arrived to the stairs for the Big Buddha the clouds arrived and there was no visibility. I tried to wait it out, but it was in a cloud for hours.

I walked back down the stairs and went to the temple. It was quite elaborate, although they didn’t allow pictures inside. I did sneak one from outside though.

I gave up and took the gondola back (by myself), unfortunately visibility was 0 still until I was nearly back to the starting point.

I took the metro back to Hong Kong MTR station. I walked to Pottinger Street which looked interesting in the tourist guide of Central. It was only two short blocks long and not that interesting in my opinion.
I took the escalators all the way from Central to the Mid Levels. Along the way I saw the Jamia mosque and some nice murals.

I accidentally found the Hong Kong zoological and botanical gardens. It was small, but free. I walked through on my way to see a couple of gas lamps that appeared on Google maps.

Before reaching the gas lamps I walked by the government house.

There were four gas lamps which appear to have been electrified.

I walked back to Central station and took the metro to the hotel.

I enjoyed the hotel lounge for a little while (finally got food an hour after arriving).
I watched the symphony of lights from the Avenue of the Stars since the weather was clear.

I came back out to take night photos of Victoria Harbor with my tripod. For some reason my eyes were always drawn to the I.M. Pei designed building which has very little lights.
I went to the Temple Street night market. They had all kinds of merchandise for sale. I bought a very powerful green laser pointer for 100 HKD.

I packed my bags so hopefully my fragile belongs don’t get damaged.
I remembered to purchase the ticket for the airport express before taking a nap. 100 HKD for the one-way trip. They also have a check in counter to drop my bags before I get on the train.
