This morning I set up my GoPro camera an hour before our estimated arrival to take a timelapse video.
I had breakfast at O’Sheehans again to avoid the crowd at the buffet.

I let the timelapse record until we docked, nearly 45 minutes late due to port traffic. My meeting time was at 8:45am, but by the time we were released, through immigration and on the bus to Pattaya it was nearly 11:00 am.

I took the ‘Pattaya on your own’ excursion. The bus was very new, and we only had 20 passengers in a large 40+ passenger bus.

After arriving at Pattaya I went to the ATM and got a snack to eat (if we were on time I probably wouldn’t have bothered with food). I took a taxi to the Sanctuary of Truth.

The Sanctuary of Truth is still under construction, but is a large wooden pavilion resembling a temple full of carvings. They provided a tour guide and a hard hat (construction ongoing).

I was short on time after the visit, but managed to negotiate with a taxi driver to take me to the big Buddha Temple before returning me to the bus pickup location.

The big Buddha Temple was a bit of a disappointment. The Buddha was covered to protect it.

Before getting on the bus to go back to the ship I walked across the street to the beach.

After I returned to the ship I had dinner at Jasmine, the complimentary Asian restaurant. Needless to say the sweet and sour pork was below my expectations.

I relaxed in the hot tub a bit before calling it a night.
