The plan today was to take an $18 bus tour of the eastern suburbs including Bondi beach.
Before the bus tour I visited Queen Victoria building. It has two large mechanical clocks.
A few more interesting buildings along the way….
The bus tour first took us to Mrs Macquarrie’s chair…. I took a couple of photos and realized my phone was missing, luckily after scrambling around I found it on the seat on the bus.
The bus tour continued along the coast until Bondi beach before returning to the park.
I walked through the church next to the park, then the mint. The mint was disappointing.
After the mint I walked to Harry’s Cafe de Wheels and had a beef pie with chips. There are some nice sculptures along the way.
After lunch I walked to the customs house which only had a few old maps and a model of the city under a glass floor.
I then took the Manly Ferry to Manly beach. It was a nice 30 minute ride through the harbor.
After the ferry ride back to Circular Quay I waited for the light show on the eastern bennelong sail of the opera house. It was supposed to happen at sunset and 9pm. Unfortunately they didn’t turn the light on for the first performance so I had to wait until 9pm.
