This morning I was required to take a ‘site inspection’ of the 3 Iberostar hotels. They didn’t show us a room at the beach resort (cheapest), or inside any of it’s restaurants, or it’s theater.
We were shown a room at the suites that was very similar to the Grand, but with a smaller bathroom and no jets in the bathtub.
The kid’s waterpark exclusive to the suites. (The Grand is adult only)
They did show us the theater at the Grand and the blues club at the Suites.
After the inspection I went back to the pool. I had lunch at the beach grill and they also made paella on the beach, which was excellent.
For dinner I went to the Japanese restaurant… check my older posts from about a week ago to see how Japanese it really is. My reservation was for 830 PM. They were a bit slow seating me and the hibachi layout is for couples, so not conducive for conversations.
The hibatchi tables…
The ‘miso soup’ tasted like chicken broth, no miso flavor at all.
The sashimi and sushi just wasn’t all that great… but I did eat it.
The hibatchi chef juggling an egg.
The fried rice in the shape of a heart.
The shrimp was very tasty despite not being very Japanese.
The beef tenderloin was good, again not very Japanese.
The hibatchi chef juggling the spatulas.
My dessert.. creme brulee
