Today will be a short day. My first flight departs at 0615 for Los Angeles [LAX] where I will board a flight to Japan that departs at 1030. I won’t get off that plane until after 3pm tomorrow, but it’s only about 10 hours from LAX to HND [Tokyo].
I left the house at around 0330 and arrived at the Red Roof Plus at 0420. I paid for parking at the hotel through Way.com which was less than one way in Uber from my house. Their shuttle doesn’t run until 0500, so I took a Lyft to the airport terminal.
I walked up through the priority lane at American Airlines and quickly had my boarding passes.
I went through the TSA Pre-Check lane at security and was quickly inside the airport (around 0450). It’s much easier to get through security without a 3lb bag of twizzlers…
I made my way to the American Airlines Admiral’s Lounge to enjoy electricity and snacks while I waited for my flight.
My first flight was uneventful (which means it was good). I attached my TRTL neck pillow and slept practically the whole flight
I left the lounge in Los Angeles early, but when I arrived to the gate they were already boarding group 4! I still got there in plenty of time.
