Today was the only tendered port of the cruise.
The ship was scheduled to arrive at 9:00 AM. I had scheduled a private tour through Viator that was to start at 9:00 AM.
I set up my GoPro for a timelapse video as entering the harbor was quite scenic. The ship anchored very near to the cable cars for the Vinpearl amusement park.
I packed lightly today as the fine print on my booking said that the tour included transportation by motorscooter, car or… And as I suspected the tour was by motorscooter.
It was a bit intimidating at first because of the mass quantities of scooters and the unpredictable way the others drove, stopped and some scooters even drove in the wrong direction.
The first stop was at…. I saw some local music and nice rock formations by the water
The next stop was Po Nagar, an ancient temple on a hill.
The next stop was to see a large white Buddha on top of another hill.
The last museum didn’t open until 1:30 PM, so we went for lunch. I had this wonderful Bahn Mi sandwich for only $1!
We stopped at a coffee shop for something to drink – I had some passion fruit juice which had a mango flavor.
We then went to the market and I bought a bamboo vase.
The last stop was at the aquarium next to the cruise tender pier.
I got a photo of the ship, but it is behind the support for the cable cars.
For dinner I ate at Alizar (main dining room). I had the teraki chicken for a starter and chicken parmigiana for my main. I had the creme brulee and pecan pie a la mode for dessert.
I went to the show tonight, the performers were aerialists from Russia. They were quite good.
