I set up the time lapse on my balcony this morning as the ship arrived. I also took some photos as the ship arrived.

I went to the buffet for breakfast – Lucky Charms again. It’s, quick and easy.
The meeting time for the tour was 9 AM, and the tour departure supposedly at 10 AM, but it was later than that to get the tender.

There was an interesting boat on shore, and the tide was low, so most of the hull was visible.

There was a nice waterfall near the pier.

The bus actually left the pier at 10:30 AM.
Nice waterfalls on the road where the Life of Walter Mitty filmed the longboard scene.

The tour stopped at a gift shop for a bathroom stop for 30 minutes on the way – only two bathrooms, it took all 30 minutes for people to cycle through. It was not a well-planned stop. I did pick up a map. The guide did tell us a myth about a worm that lives in the lake – you can see it on the map.

The bus arrived at Hengifoss at 12:03. It was more of a defined path than I expected, which is fine.
Hiking took 75 minutes up to the end of the trail. You could technically go further, but it was close enough to get nice photos. I stopped a few places along the way, one of the nice photo spots was near a lower waterfall where there were more basalt columns like at the Giant’s Causeway.

Hiking took about 35 minutes to get back down. I made it in plenty of time.

The bus left Hengifoss around 2:30 PM and arrived back at 3:30. I took some more photos during the ride back, although I was also pixel peeping at my photos of the waterfall. At the top of the mountain it was really foggy, with essentially no visibility.

Fog rolled in, so visibility was less than optimal. Could still see the waterfall near the pier, so I walked over and took some photos there.

I walked around to the town and took pictures of the old church and the rainbow colored street in front of it.

Some more pictures of the boat near the pier.

I got back on the ship and had yet another Funderstruck Nacho Burger. It was still awesome.

Today’s towel animal:

I found the ship’s lucky coin, spoiler alert – it was near the golf course.

I set up a time lapse on departure (we actually left nearly on time today), but the fog got worse.

I donated the rest of my $40 to the casino. I ended with 130 points, so hopefully that was enough to trigger casino offers. If it isn’t then I am not donating any additional money to the casino.
Before dinner my balcony on deck 6 was literally in the cloud (fog). I couldn’t see anything beyond the balcony. The captain was blowing the fog horn.
I skipped the show, it didn’t look too interesting to me.
I ate dinner in the main dining room. I had the antipasti for the starter. The Italian salami didn’t look like salami. The “fresh” mozzarella was slices of mozzarella, but the normal round balls like you expect. I tried the beef fried steak (chicken fried beef). It was okay. For dessert I had the lemon meringue pie.

After dinner I listened to some music at the Red Frog Pub.

Around midnight I did some more laundry as I knew the sea day tomorrow would be busy, especially at the halfway point in the cruise.

I got some more pizza from the pirate at 1 AM while waiting for my clothes to dry.
