This morning we arrived in Durnstein, Austria. They brought us through the old town and gave us an optional hike up to the castle ruins. The hike was about 180 meters of an elevation change. The view from the castle was wonderful.
After walking back down from the castle on the hill I went into the graveyard and saw a large amount of bones in one of the crypts…
We departed Durnstein for Melk at around 11:00 AM and arrived around 14:00. I set up my GoPro on the back of the ship for the sailing through the Wachau Valley.
After arriving in Melk they took us by bus to the Melk Abbey on top of the hill. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside the abbey, but it was quite spectacular. The church inside was one of the most amazing ones I’ve seen.
