I’m off to Doha, Qatar today. I’m flying on British Airways to London and then Qatar Airways to Qatar. Surprisingly enough the queue at TSA was very short even though the government shutdown means they are working without getting paid.
The British Airways flight is a nice Boeing 787-9 which is good because my eyes are already dry. The Qatar Airways flight is an Airbus A380.
While sitting in the lounge the Queen arrived. I was surprised since usually Lufthansa uses an A380 for this route. You can easily tell it’s the new version because the -8 has wingtips that sweep back like a bird while the older -400 has winglets that point up.
They had Air New Zealand parked away from the gate.
Here’s my seat… pretty much the same on all the long haul BA flights.
I nearly starved to death waiting for food. At least it was good. I had the beef.
