Today I started driving back to Houston.
I made a stop in Mobile Alabama to explore the USS Alabama and the submarine USS Drum. They also had a handful of airplanes – including a rare A12 (similar to the SR71) which is one of the most impressive airplanes ever made. It’s worth stopping for a visit. It was a bit foggy in Mobile when I first arrived, but it cleared up to be a nice day.
After visiting the USS Alabama I walked into the hangar where several airplanes are stored, including the A12 in the picture below.
After walking through the hangar I arrived at the submarine USS Drum.
