This morning I checked for the flight for tomorrow as soon as possible in an attempt to get upgraded (I’m not very hopeful).
At 2:15 PM I received notice from Delta that I got upgraded to First Cass on the segment between Seattle and Ketchikan. I don’t think there will be any chance to get upgraded on the first flight.
Upgraded Boarding Pass from Seattle, WA to Ketchikan, AK
I went to CVS for my appointment at 4:50PM to take the required COVID test for the cruise. It’s not required to visit Alaska, so I won’t need the results until Sunday when I check in for the cruise and it’s the first day I can take it since they require the test to be done within 4 days of sailing.
I spent a few more hours packing (mostly my camera gear) and finally departed for Austin (with one stop for fuel). The drive seemed to go quick and I arrived at the aloft hotel at the airport at 11:15PM…. With the long lines at the airport and a 6:05AM flight this meant very little sleep. I set my alarm for 2:45AM and hoped it would be early enough.
