This morning as we arrived at Sandborn the skies were gloomy with what we believed to be typical Alaska weather. I did set up a time lapse video because I expected the movement of the clouds would look interesting.

Breakfast time again. I don’t usually eat breakfast, but since there aren’t a lot of snacks between meals I make sure to take at least something for breakfast, plus I do love bacon. Today the breakfast was omelets and sausages with breakfast potatoes. While I was eating breakfast one of my teeth because very loose, perhaps due to me tripping while on the hike yesterday. I started to get a little stressed out because there were several days left before I returned home.

It was a relaxing morning since I had a short break after breakfast before the zodiac tour. I watched one of the DVDs available about Glacier Bay while waiting.
The weather cleared up quite a bit by the time it was time for my zodiac tour. Unfortunately I didn’t take the long lens with me again, but I did however still get a nice photo of a playful sea lion. Other critters seen on the zodiac tour were: sea otter, mink, harbor seals and an eagle flying with a fish (or some kind of food)

After our tour some of the crew piloted the zodiacs the 9 or 10 miles to Robert & Crow islands while we were having our lunch. It saved some time not loading the zodiacs back on the roof for the short move.
Today’s lunch was delicious ham, bacon & grueyere cheese foccocia sandwiches. I was trying to be very careful eating them with my loose tooth, by cutting the sandwich into small pieces, but when I tried to suck a piece of cheese from between my teeth the loose tooth came straight off. Luckily there was no pain and I was relieved I could again eat more normally.

After lunch I was part of the only group that went kayaking. Quite a few people decided to do the eco walk on the shore and got to pick up sea stars and see other bits of sea life, but I was quite happy with the kayak journey. Despite it being a bit of exercise there was one section where the water was show shallow and clear that you could clearly see the sea stars in the water as well as the mussels on the shore and even clams spitting water on the shore. A seal even popped it’s head up, but they are pretty shy even if they are curious.

After the kayak tour we started sailing towards the next destination – Fords Terror and Endicott arm. We got to see a night lighthouse, and yes some more whales.

Time yet again for dinner. Despite there being a lot of food I was also burning significantly more calories than a typical cruise vacation (although there are a lot less stairs). Dinner tonight was a choice of Halibut or chicken. I decided to have the chicken tonight. Dessert was a wonderful bread pudding, which I still need to get the recipe from another guest who got it from the magical pastry chef.

After dinner one of the guides had a presentation on fungi and even had some examples to pass around.
After the presentation I took a few more pictures of the scenery outside and we were treated to an especially beautiful sunset.
