I took a picture of the sunrise this morning from the hotel room. [sarcasm] It was quite spectacular with the roof and the national bird of China (crane) [/sarcasm]

I walked across the street and took the airport bus (Silver Line) to the airport. It was very easy and quick since the stop across from the hotel was the last one before the airport.

I was flying through Charlotte today. I didn’t get an upgrade, it’s a bit difficult between hubs.

I managed to get one photo of Boston harbor was we took off.

In the back I was given a choice of snacks – take it or leave it. It is still better than last year when they didn’t give people anything.

I was upgraded on the next flight, however I didn’t think the hobby kit would be able to sustain life for the entire day (I didn’t have breakfast, hotels are still using the COVID excuse despite being willing to sell you dinner). I got in the very long queue for Chick-Fil-A. Long queues for food in the airport usually are a disaster, but this is Chick-Fil-A, the master of expediting long queues, however it usually entails a parade of cars. I was easily able to get my meal and walk to the the next boarding area without being too stressed, despite the short connection.

I don’t typically like the bulkhead row, especially when I have a bunch of carryon items (camera, GoPro, computer, etc.), but it was still better than sitting in the back.

And here is what they consider a business class “meal”. I refer to it as a hobby kit, I might have stole that reference from the movie ‘Fight Club’.

Here’s today’s timeline, I’m not sure why it didn’t capture my first flight, but at least it made dotted lines. I think it could have been because I used the inflight Wi-Fi.
