The adventure has officially started. I am flying to Orlando today because I was worried about flight delays, especially during hurricane season.
I parked at the Parking Spot nearby Houston Hobby airport and after what seemed like forever in the hot Texas sun a shuttle came and gave me a ride to the airport. I was the only one in the shuttle.
At the airport it wasn’t as crazy as I expected. I was checked in and through airport security fast.

I also got an email today about the dining options onboard, and that several of the “specialty” restaurants will be available for free.
The other good news is the tropical depression Fred is pushing west.

Boarding went a bit slower than normal, but we didn’t leave too late. I managed to get an exit row seat, although it was a middle seat.
The boarding process. Totally organized and unlike any other airline My exit row seat A rainbow… not so clear through the window
They did serve a small snack of trail mix (savory) and soft drinks (coke). I was a bit too hungry and preoccupied with the movie I was watching (Superintelligence) to take a picture of the snack.

When arriving in the MCO airport you need to take a small train to the luggage claim.
After getting my luggage I decided to get some dinner at the food court as I was unsure what, if anything was nearby the hotel.

Despite the hotel website specifying they had a shuttle to and from the airport (main reason I selected it), when I called they said they didn’t have one because of COVID…. well I would think they could update their website, COVID has been around for more than a year now.

After taking a taking an Uber to the hotel – Wyndham Garden Orlando Airport. I checked in and found the hotel to be new in appearance. The room is actually pretty nice.
