I started my morning with breakfast at the Galley. I ordered an English muffin, hash browns, bacon, egg and sausage. I also decided to try the ramen soup. The ramen was very disappointing and the English muffin never came, so I wasn’t able to assemble my breakfast sandwich.
The ship time fell back an hour because the next stop is in Mexico on Central Time and Miami is on Eastern Time. It is more difficult to keep it straight with the heavy reliance on mobile phone apps to know what is happening on the ship. Add the fact that the Virgin Voyages app is horrible, and crashes almost every time it is opened. I know it’s the only the third cruise, but they had an extra year to program the app because of the pandemic.

There wasn’t many activities during the day, so I took advantage of the time to complete the scavenger hunt. The reward was only a reusable shopping bag, but at least it gave me something to do on an otherwise lazy day.

I did get distracted at the Ice Cream place and had an ice cream cone. it was delicious, much better than the self-serve ice cream machines on other ships.
I decided to have lunch at the DOCK HOUSE in the back of the ship. It was a nice, relaxing location with a great view and good food, although the food was very small bites.
Prawns (not sure why they call them shrimp when nearly everything else is British) Hanger Steak
The food at the DOCK HOUSE didn’t really satisfy my hunger, so then I walked over to the Pizza Place for a pie. I tried the “Pretty Fly for a White Pie”. It was good, but I didn’t think it was too special. At this place you order at the counter and are given one of those vibrating pucks to let you know your pizza is ready. Dine in and takeaway is available.
In the afternoon I was able to tour some of the Rockstar Suites. The bathrooms are very fancy and the rooms are quite large. I found two things I didn’t care for – the first thing was despite the balcony was huge there was still only one hammock. The second thing I noticed was that the bed didn’t separate, so hopefully you don’t mind being in the same bed if you are traveling with a friend.
They also showed me one of the solo insider cabins. It didn’t look much smaller than the typical cabin.

After relaxing at the pool I met some friends at the Mexican restaurant, Pink Agave. I wasn’t able to get reservations, but my friends did and I managed to sneak in with them.
If you look at the menu if doesn’t look like a Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. I only recognize the relleno and the enchilada. I ordered the roast duck and the ribeye.
Pato (duck) Bistec (ribeye – after I cut it) Aquachile enchilada Pescado Tacos de chocolate Capirotada
I was very disappointed in the duck. The skin was not crispy and it just paled in comparison to the duck I recently had at the W Muscat hotel in Oman. The ribeye was good, but it just didn’t feel Mexican to me.
After dinner I went to the acrobatic performance. It was 55 minutes long and had a West Side Story / Rome & Juliet vibe to it (I wouldn’t call it a story). I actually thought it was a bit too long, but it was okay.
