Today was another chance to relax with another day at sea. I started the morning with breakfast at the galley. I had a bento box with fruit and the chorizo burrito.
I checked out the adult art activity… It was coloring in the space with paint markers. It was at least something, and at least it was in the shade, but after a while it was just not all that thrilling.

Eventually I started to get hungry, so I grabbed a Poke bowl from the Sun Club Cafe. It was awesome, I really enjoyed it. I wish I had tried it earlier as it is only open during the early afternoon for lunch.

Afterwards I went to a seahorse race, which was interesting, but I wouldn’t go back to watch it again. Guests had seahorses and it was like a chutes and ladders game, if the seahorse landed on a particular spot the guest had to perform to move ahead a couple of spots. To add to the experience there was not much shade where the event was being held and the sun was pretty warm.
I spent some more time relaxing in the pool before getting ready for dinner. I managed to make reservations for the Wake before the cruise and I was excited to try the food. I was looking at the menu with the sometimes working app and saw lamb chops and filet mignon. I actually found out they had actual menus if you asked!
very delicious bread roasted bone marrow filet mignon filet mignon and lamb chops awesome baked Alaska – I had two not so good almond brulee
This was one of the best dinners I had on this cruise. The bread was delicious, the filet mignon was tender and cooked properly. However, I was not a fan of the lamb chops. The baked Alaska was a highlight – I had two as the pistachio and cherries were a great combination. I was disappointed in the almond brulee… but the baked Alaska made up for it.
I got a sunset photo while enjoying my dinner at the Wake.

Tonight was the “Scarlet Night”, which everyone was supposed to dress in red. I didn’t really get the point. The party started in one area and they tried to bring the party around to the whole ship, but the pied piper kept going to very small areas where the entire crowd could not fit. They also had a bunch of weird, quirky inflatables around the ship. To end it they had a DJ on stage. It was a flop from what I’ve experienced in the past on other ships.
Google Maps did record part of the ship’s path today, at one point I could see Cuba from the ship.
