It was literally o dark thirty when the ship arrived this morning in Cabo San Lucas. The tenders literally started to operate before sunrise.

I went upstairs to the Lido deck to get some breakfast and found that despite it still being dark ALL of the deck chairs were already occupied…. okay so they were occupied by cute towel animals and not people.
I took some photos of the towel animals and got some cereal for breakfast.

I stuck around to take some pictures of Cabo and Lands’ End during the magic hour and even got a nice sunrise photo.

A better picture of the towel animals now that the sun is actually above the horizon now.

I got in the queue to get off the ship at 7:39 AM. Even though the line was a bit long it didn’t take long at all since Cabo has a tender boat service and the ship doesn’t need to use their lifeboats.

I was onshore at about 8:00 AM. I took some pictures of the marina when I arrived and of some sea lions that were in the marina.

The first person trying to sell a boat tour wanted $35, I walked to the next guy and he said $20. I gave him $10 and told him I would give him the other $10 when I get to the boat, we quickly went to the boat I paid $1 for the access to the pier and gave the guy the other $10.
The boat first went to pelican beach where there were pelicans on a rock and some seals as well. There were a bunch of fish just under the boat, and it was possible to see them through the small glass window on the bottom of the boat.

There were also a bunch of sea lions on the rocks.

There was a small beach nearby.

The guide showed us the beach that was the only beach that was both on the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. It was possible to see through to the Pacific Ocean.

Another picture of the ship with Cabo San Lucas in the background.

Some more rocks and another small beach.

We briefly stopped by the sea arch. The angle wasn’t really the best, but you could still see through the arch. The small boats like I was in were able to get relatively close to the arch. I assume the larger ships that the cruise line sell excursions for would be further away.

We very briefly went around Lands End to the Pacific Ocean.

The boat captain took us to the beach he called the “No Thank You Beach” because everyone wants to sell you something. I took a picture of the boat so I would know what it looked like when it got back. I didn’t want to get stranded.

I walked down the beach for a while and got some nice photos of the ship with Lands’ End in the background.

I stayed on the beach for about two hours (until 11 AM) and the boat picked me back up and took me back to the marina. The water was nice, but the sand was very coarse and abrasive.
It was a pleasant day and pretty reasonable when the cost was only $21.
I walked through the souvenir shops for a little bit before going back to the ship and then took some photos in the marina.

The tender boat slowly took us back to the ship. I got something to drink on deck 3 at the atrium bar before unloading my stuff in the cabin.
There was some wildlife waiting for me in my cabin…. a wabbit.

I had lunch at the Lido buffet- they had empanadas, and I also got some pizza.

I took some pictures of the cakes at the Lido buffet.

And because they had it I had mango gelato.

The captain always blows the horn to warn the slackers it is time to return. I took my audio recorder up to the top deck and recorded the sound of the horn. Luckily I had the gain turned to the correct amount because he only blew the horn once and this was my last chance to record it on this trip.
I set up the GoPro for the timelapse on the port side facing Lands’ End and the captain spun the boat around, so I got a nice video of the whole city of Cabo. At this point I moved the GoPro to the starboard side so I would get a video with the arch.
The ship left very early this afternoon to make it back to Long Beach. Scheduled departure time was 2:30 PM, but the last water shuttle was 1:30 PM so we did leave a few minutes early.
I recorded the brief departure from Cabo with my handheld camera and also took some photos as well as I could with using one hand to record the video.

After I put away all my camera gear I was hot, so I decided to cool off in the pool. I wasn’t there for long though as it wasn’t possible to see the ocean or land, so then I climbed into the hot tub. At this point I realized I got sunburnt despite applying sunscreen (sunscreen I bought in Budapest years ago that expired last year). I continued to relax in the hot tub until it was time to get ready for dinner.
I made one last stop to ride the water slide with the inner tube. It was pretty good, but I liked the ones on the Mardi Gras better with the trap door.
I had dinner in the main dining room again.

I had Caesar salad for my starter and grilled beef tenderloin for my main. I tried the Grand Marnier souffle again for dessert. The beef tenderloin was pretty good even though they drowned it in sauce.

I did make it to the show – Soulbound.

And tonight was the silent party. They only had two DJ’s playing music tonight, but it was still fun. It’s more fun with three DJ’s. If you haven’t been to a silent party before all the music is with wireless headphones and you can control the volume and the channel. There are colored lights on the headsets so others know what channel you are listening to. It’s not always completely silent, sometime people sing along to the music.

I was a bit hungry at the end of the day and the queue at the pizzeria was pretty intense, so I decided to order chicken wings on the app. During some hours you can even have the food delivered to a bar or the pool deck. Because it was late I had them delivered to my room. They were small, but tasted good. They did cost $7 – but the way I figured it was that you can’t get wings on the ship any other way.
