This morning the ship arrived at the pier 4 miles from Progresso, Mexico. The pier itself is 4 miles long. I had no intention of getting off the ship as I wanted to spend my time exploring the ship.
I decided to take advantage of the show cabins to see what the other cabin types looked like. They were all fabulous. Click on the links to show the pictures for the different cabins.

Now because I was near the gangway I decided to temporarily step off onto the pier just to take a picture and say I did actually get off the ship in Mexico. I was only outside for a minute though.

The paparazzi did attack me when I got off and they took a picture with their magic background.

I had a late breakfast at the Local. I had an American Breakfast with an English muffin and bacon so I could make a sandwich. And I finished with an ice cream sundae.

I took some pictures of Los Lobos as it was across from the Local.

And I took some pictures of the outside area on deck 8 forward which had some nice sofas and free binoculars.

Next I explored the wonderful observation lounge.

Next I took some pictures of the waterslide, the main pool, childrens’ splash area and the sun deck.

Back through the buffet for more photos

Next I took some pictures of the Stadium area including the Rush dry slide. The Rush is similar to the drop, but it is a more traditional slide without the dropping floor. The Stadium has ping pong, a pickleball court, foosball, beer pong and more to keep children of all ages entertained.

I went to the Indulge Food Hall for lunch.

A picture of the pier from the ship… land is somewhere out there, but not visible in the picture.

No more pictures for a while, I spent quite a bit of time riding the Wave waterslide. It was really fun, there is a sense of weightlessness as you slide back down inside the bowl. It is a shame that there is a minimum height requirement of 51″ as it seems like it would be good for children, and there isn’t a slide for children on the ship.
I had dinner tonight in the Food Republic specialty restaurant.

I tried a variety of options including the poke nachos. It was good, but still can’t beat the Ahi poke nachos in Hawaii.

After dinner I went to the theater/club to see Sensoria. It was definitely an interesting performance with plenty of lights and music. It was supposed to be similar to the night club experience in Las Vegas (without the drugs).

And that concluded another day on the high seas on the amazing Norwegian Prima.
