This morning I woke up and the weather made the visit to Hubbard Glacier a lost cause. It was very foggy and cloudy.

The weather miraculously got better. It wasn’t perfect, but certainly good enough.

They opened up the crew area on the bow. I briefly visited, but decided it was too small and congested for me.

I went back up to the top to enjoy the view.

Away goes the small boat that took the rich kids closer to the glacier. It was $399 a person.

The ship now started to get closer to the glacier, and did we ever get close to it. It seemed like we were closer than we were because it is so massive.

Getting closer – queue the music from Jaws

When we got as close as we could it was impressive. The captain said we hadn’t been able to get that close in a long time.

The little boat is back. It did get closer to the glacier. It is impressive to see how large the glacier is with the little boat in the picture.

Some more close up photos of this beautiful glacier.

Proof of life – I was here.

Some more close up photos of the glacier.

And just like that we were on our way to Seward where most people were ending their cruise and mine was starting again.

I got a quick snack at the buffet for lunch.

Not sure who got off the ship, but there was luggage involved.

I did have to pack a little as I was moving cabins tomorrow. I spent a little time to organize my clothes and laundry.
My snack didn’t satisfy me so I had lunch at O’Sheehans. I had pretzel bites and the chicken salad sandwich.

Dinner was at Cagney’s again. This time I had the Caesar salad for my starter.

For my main I had the filet mignon with Yuzu Togarashi butter

And of course there is always room for Jell-o….. ok so there isn’t Jell-o here at Cagney’s, but I did have the creme brulee.
