Today’s onboard activities:

I had a special treat today. I was invited to visit the bridge this morning at 9:30 AM. It was very good and there were only two other passengers that were allowed in while I was there. I was surprised how much empty space there was on the bridge, essentially only one large navigation area in the center and two small stations on the wings.

I mentioned that I was surprised there was a window in the floor under the wings – only for the officer to lift up a panel to reveal a large window in the floor.

There was also a cabinet with all the flags of the countries they would visit.

I don’t typically take selfies, but it’s also not every day I get to go on the bridge of a cruise ship.

After the tour I stopped by the culinary demonstration. They had a document with a few recipes on it.

Now that I was hungry I went and had some lunch – a couple of slices of pizza and some egg noodles.

They also had fancy cakes out today.

I went to the tour discussion about Kobe, I think the one thing I will do tomorrow is the waterfall behind the Shinkansen station..
I went to the room to get some things done and participated in the egg drop competition. I had stolen a hard boiled egg the other day from the buffet, mostly for theatrics. I then took the real egg, put it inside a coffee cup and napkin. When I went to throw off the egg off the side the Japanese cruise director stopped me and said I needed a contraption (I only had the hard boiled egg in my hand and a coffee cup I was pretending to drink out of). I told her the coffee cup was the device and proceeded to crack open the hard boiled egg and show her it was hard boiled. I was successfully able to have the normal egg survive the fall and I was not so close to the center, but closer than all but one.
I relaxed a bit in the Crooners lounge enjoying the view of the ocean while working on the computer a bit.
I unfortunately need to pack as I am moving cabins tomorrow.

I had dinner at Sterling Steakhouse again tonight. The menu is the same every night, but other than the soup it is very good.

Tonight I had the Black Tiger Prawn and Papaya Salpicon and the Black and Blue onion soup to start. I’m not a fan of the cheese they’ve selected – I get frustrated when people try to be smart and deviate from what actually works. And of course I also had the very cheesy bread.

For my main I had the filet mignon with French fries.

I was full and tired, so dessert was to go.
I also had to finish packing for tomorrow’s move.
