In the morning I visited Duisburg. Nothing exciting to report from there.
I had lunch at the hotel in Cologne. Steak with herb butter.

I took a leisurely drive along the Rhine River on my way to Frankfurt.
One of the interesting things I saw was this museum which was inside the bridge towers of a bridge that was captured in 1945 by the US without it being destroyed. Apparently the Germans failed to blow it up.

I eventually stopped in Kaub which has a castle on a small island. You can take a ferry (more like a dinghy) to visit it.

I took a picture of the road sign showing Loreley, Rudesheim and Koblenz)

After arriving at the Frankfurt airport I got stuck in traffic. I couldn’t find the entrance to the hotel so I returned the rental car first and then dragged my bags across. The check in process was okay, but the hotel was under renovation. I had to take some pretty banged up service elevators. Not exactly the luxury you expect for 300 Euros a night. Oh and the air conditioning wasn’t even working in my first room. Let’s just say I am not recommending this hotel to anyone.

After dinner I took rest for my morning flight the next day. Luckily I didn’t have to deal with traffic to get to the airport.
