This morning I drove to San Antonio.
I decided to visit the missions in San Antonio since I’ve only been to the Alamo.
The first stop was Mission Espada. While I was there they had a mass in Spanish. Quite interesting that a church older than the United States was still being used, and that it is within a National Park.
The next stop was Mission San Juan. They had a small park office / museum. There was a mass in English in the church while I was visiting.
The next stop was probably the most impressive mission… Mission San Jose
The next stop was Mission Conception.
After checking into the hotel I walked to the Alamo. Unfortunately they do not allow pictures inside the church.
Since the last time I visited the Alamo has turned into a bit of a zoo. The long barracks was closed for renovation / preservation.
