I spent the day at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It is not very close to San Diego. They apparently don’t charge enough for admission because they charge $15 for parking. Luckily I took an Uber pool which didn’t cost much more than the parking. Be prepared to spend $$$ on food / drinks.
I started walking to the Africa Tram that goes around the preserve. We were able to see many different animals, including Rhinos.
They had just opened the Australian exhibit. It was smaller than I expected. It was nice being inside the enclosure with the kangaroos, however when I was visiting they were sleeping.
I made sure to watch the Cheetah run at 3:30 pm. It was a good opportunity to use my phone’s super slo motion video recording.
The male lion was sleeping when I first walked by. I decided to walk back and he woke up. I was able to get a few pictures.
I walked to the other side of the park, back to the Australian exhibit and luckily the kangaroos woke up.
