Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh My…. Well, not really but today I did get to see a lot of wildlife, both in and out of the water. In the morning I actually snorkeled and in the afternoon we got to see an otter, harbor seals, a sea lion, eagles, whale and even a one eyed mink….Later the ship went through the Wrangell Narrows.
A day at Yes Bay…. I kayaked in the morning, saw a brown bear on the afternoon skiff tour and even saw whales…

Officially the first day of the cruise. I started the day with light trinket shopping, repacking my luggage and checking out of the Gilmore Hotel. I dropped off my luggage at the hospitality location and ate king crab legs for lunch. Before boarding the ship a quick briefing told us that we weren’t going to follow a set itinerary…. which I actually had expected since I had spoken to an UnCruise representative the day before leaving…..

The adventure officially started today. I flew from Austin to Ketchikan, Alaska and started the exploration of the town. I took advantage of the long daylight hours and walked around the entire downtown area of Ketchikan, even taking in a rainbow from the top of Edmonds Street.
Time to check in for the flights to Alaska and drive to Austin for the evening to allow for some sleep before getting on a very early flight tomorrow morning.

Last flight from Phoenix to Austin, amazing barbecue lunch and a short drive to Houston
My final day in Hawaii. I made the most of it by starting the day with watching the sunrise over Diamond Head and a short swim in the ocean before checking out. A short visit back at the US Army Museum to see the Cobra helicopter. More fresh fish for lunch and then the afternoon at the Bishop Museum before finally flying out on the red-eye.
I started the day snorkeling at Ala Moana park and had intended to take a Catamaran ride at 11 AM before having lunch, but the Catamaran got rescheduled to 3 PM and I had to make some adjustments. I visited the Byodo-In temple and spent the rest of the day in Waikiki after the Catamaran ride.
