Leprechaun huntin’ time. And I visited the home of Q-bert, otherwise known as the Giant’s Causeway.

Iceland, Scotland and Northern Ireland Cruise on Carnival Pride – Day 7 [Akureyri, Iceland]
Another day of exploring the amazing country of Iceland. Yes, there was a waterfall on the itinerary (and plenty that we passed by as well).
Iceland, Scotland and Northern Ireland Cruise on Carnival Pride – Day 6 [Grundafjordur, Iceland]
A day tour of the best of Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The tour took us around to a lot of interesting areas, including a sea arch and basalt rocks that remind me of the Giants’ Causeway.

A breathtaking day in Reykjavik, Iceland and the Golden Circle.

Iceland, Scotland and Northern Ireland Cruise on Carnival Pride – Day 1 [Flight to London]
A very long day. It started with a flight at 2 AM, included two flights, a tube ride, a train ride and about 11 miles of walking (mostly along the white cliffs of Dover).
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 11 [Cruise Disembarkation in Amsterdam]
End of the cruise. Time to leave and start another adventure
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 10 [Sea Day]
Today was the final full day of the cruise. I had yet to take advantage of the hot tub, so I made sure I experience them before the end of the day. I also utilized my martini tasting coupon in the Martini bar. I participated in the Escape Room and partied like it was 1999 with the silent disco to end the night.
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 9 [Stavanger, Norway]
Today is the final port of call for the cruise. It’s hard to believe the cruise is almost over already. Today the ship visits Stavanger, Norway – the one place on the cruise I haven’t been to yet. I decided to walk over to the church (bad idea) then to the archeological museum. I still had some time left so I walked through the old town area over to some old mansions.
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 8 [Geiranger, Norway]
Today is the most scenic day of the entire trip. The ship will sail into Geiranger through Geirangerfjord.
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 7 [Bergen, Norway]
A nice day in Bergen. I started the day with a funicular ride to a viewpoint overlooking Bergen. I went to the Bergenhus Fortress and the UNESCO World Heritage site Bryggen.
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 6 [Ålesund, Norway]
Today is the first stop of the cruise, in Ålesund, Norway. The weather was less than spectacular, it rained nearly the entire day and I had planned mostly outdoor activities (scenic viewpoint and the Sunnmøre open air museum)…
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 5 [Sea Day]
An entertaining day at sea on the Celebrity Apex
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 4 [Cruise Embarkation in Amsterdam]
Embarkation day for the Celebrity Apex
Norwegian Fjords Cruise – Day 3 [Amsterdam]
I visited the National Maritime museum and the National Holocaust memorial during my second day in Amsterdam.
